HOW ABOUT THE WORDLIFT PLUGIN?
The WordLift plugin serves two purposes:
- Facilitates the connection between WordLift and the cloud services that we provide to analyze your content and to publish the metadata used by search engines.
- Tracks – when you opt-in from the setup wizard – data from your WordPress website that we use for diagnostic (you can always opt-out from the settings of the plugin).
On the website, using Metorik, we store a cookie in the browsers when you first come to our site. If you check out, the cookie is read and stored to let us know more about your visit. This all happens on our site and is stored in our database.
HOW ABOUT THE DATA THAT I PUBLISH USING WORDLIFT?
WordLift publishes linked metadata as open data under data.wordlift.io or any custom domain you might have asked us to configure for you. This content is fully licensed to you and used for the sole purpose of letting search engines know what your content is about. All the information you create can be downloaded anytime from the WordLift settings of the plugin and it is stored on our own servers in Germany.
