User experience

User experience (commonly used abbreviations: UX or UE) is what a person feels while using a product, a system or a service. UX is about people’s emotions and focuses on the experience, meaning and values that the relationship between people-machines and product ownership causes. Moreover, User Experience is also about how users perceive a system’s utility, ease of use and efficiency.

The first person that has hold the phrase “User Experience” in his job title was Donald Norman: designer, expert in human centered design and writer of  The Design of Everyday Things.
