W3C (World Wide Web Consortium) — the international standards body that develops and maintains the core open-web specifications (HTML, RDF, and related technologies), organized through Working Groups, Community Groups, and a formal maturity track (Working Draft → Candidate Recommendation → Proposed Recommendation → Recommendation), and currently exploring standards for agentic commerce through workshops such as “E-commerce for Humans and AI Agents,” jointly organized with GS1.
