WebMCP, in short, is the emerging standard (co-authored by Microsoft and Google, already adopted by OpenAI) that lets a website declare to any AI agent which actions it supports directly, so the agent can act on the page instead of just reading it. It’s the piece that turns a browsable website into one an agent can operate.
