Amazon Echo is a hands-free speaker users can control with their voice, produced by Amazon. It connects to the Alexa Voice Service to play music, provide information, news, sports scores, weather, and much more. Through seven microphones and beam forming technology, it’s able to hear voices across the room, activated by the command-word “Alexa”.
A few examples of actions you can perform using your voice commands with Amazon Echo:
- Play music (with Amazon Music, and also through Pandora, Spotify, iHeartRadio, and TuneIn)
- Order a pizza, book a ride with Uber, read the headlines of some newspapers
- Control the smart devices of your home
- Search for instant information, recipes, and much more.
