Welcome to the WordLift Academy, where we delve into the fascinating world of semantic technologies, SEO, and the future of digital marketing. Today, we’re excited to share insights from a recent presentation by Andrea Volpini, CEO of WordLift, at the prestigious GS1 Global Forum in Brussels. This event stands as a beacon for industry leaders worldwide, promoting GS1 standards that revolutionize the way we think about global trade and product distribution.

In an era where digital transformation is paramount, the GS1 Global Forum serves as a melting pot of ideas, innovations, and discussions on standards and technologies designed to streamline the global trading ecosystem. As speakers and virtual sponsors of this global annual event, we had the unique opportunity to engage with pioneers at the forefront of the international trading economy.

Our presentation focused on three central areas where WordLift is making significant strides:

  1. Integrating GS1 Digital Link into WordLift’s Product Knowledge Graph: We’re harnessing the power of GS1 Digital Link to enrich the Product Knowledge Graphs we create. This integration not only enhances the graph’s richness but also ensures that the data is globally recognized and standardized, facilitating seamless product distribution and discovery.
  2. Leveraging GS1 Web Voc for Custom Ontologies: The creation of custom ontologies, such as the Eyewear Ontology for brands within the EssilorLuxottica group, is a testament to our commitment to steering and controlling Generative AI workflows. By utilizing GS1 Web Voc, we’re able to generate product descriptions at scale, ensuring accuracy, relevance, and brand consistency.
  3. Utilizing the GS1 Extension of the Schema.org Vocabulary: Our proposal of SEOntology, an innovative ontology layered on top of product data, is inspired by insights into how people search for products. By referencing the GS1 extension of the Schema.org vocabulary, we’re able to infuse product data with invaluable SEO insights, optimizing product visibility and searchability.

At WordLift, we’re not just about creating connections; we’re about creating meaningful, intelligent connections that drive visibility, engagement, and success in the digital realm. Our work with GS1 standards and technologies is a testament to our dedication to pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in SEO and digital marketing.

Join us on this journey as we explore the intersection of GS1 standards, Product Knowledge Graphs, and the future of digital marketing. Discover how WordLift is leading the charge in leveraging semantic technologies to transform the digital landscape, one product at a time.
