As you may know, WordLift received a grant from the EU to bring its tools to any website and to perfect anyone\u2019s semantic SEOstrategy [<a href=\"https:\/\/wordlift.io\/blog\/en\/wordlift-next-generation-receives-grant-from-eu\/\">link<\/a>].<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>WordLift Next Generation is made up of WordLift, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.redlink.at\/en\/\">Redlink GmbH<\/a>, <a class=\"wl-entity-page-link\" title=\"The success story of SalzburgerLand\" href=\"https:\/\/wordlift.io\/blog\/en\/entity\/salzburger-land-tourismus\/\" data-id=\"http:\/\/data.wordlift.io\/wl0216\/entity\/the_success_story_of_salzburgerland;http:\/\/www.wikidata.org\/entity\/Q21685025;https:\/\/g.co\/kg\/m\/0zd415t\" >SalzburgerLand Tourismus GmbH<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sti-innsbruck.at\/\">Department of Computer Science of the University of Innsbruck<\/a>. The aim is to&nbsp; develop a new platform to deliver <strong>Agentive SEO technology to any website<\/strong>, despite its CMS, and to concretely <strong>extend the possibilities of semantic SEO in a digital strategy<\/strong>. The work started in January 2019 and is being developed in a 3-year timeframe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The project started with a clear definition of the roles and responsibilities of each partner in the scope to <strong>improve WordLift\u2019s backend<\/strong> to <em>enrich RDF\/XML graphs<\/em> with <em>semantic similarity indices<\/em>, <em>full-text search <\/em>and <em><a class=\"wl-entity-page-link\" title=\"voice searches\" href=\"https:\/\/wordlift.io\/blog\/en\/entity\/optimize-website-voice-search\/\" data-id=\"http:\/\/data.wordlift.io\/wl0216\/entity\/how_to_optimize_your_website_for_voice_search;http:\/\/dbpedia.org\/resource\/Voice_search\" >conversational<\/a> UIs<\/em>. The main goals for the project are: being able to add semantic search capabilities to WordLift, improved content recommendations on users\u2019 websites and the integrations with personal digital assistants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"269\" height=\"424\" src=\"https:\/\/lh3.googleusercontent.com\/e8VYX0YoyAAHpfEjHzZ90_NrqzzPW07oE59Ru0mV3EWK4MUTm16RI6MjfbnopsT873NX5p1rqJgbRganq1Up3cMjqgR4CGxZ_GxCQE57xmYDsB0mq070OUUzQXDqjdRnRTT-Gx4L\"><br><em>Here is an example of the initial testing done with Google\u2019s team on a mini-app inside Google Search and the Google Assistant that we developed to experiment with conversational user interfaces.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Artificial Intelligence is leading big companies\u2019 investments, and WordLift NG aims at bringing these technologies to small\/mid sized business owners worldwide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In order to accomplish these ambitions goals the consortium is working on various fronts:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Development of new functionalities and prototypes<\/li><li>Research activities&nbsp;<\/li><li>Community engagement<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What is WordLift NG?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The study for the new platform for WordLift\u2019s clients started with a whole new user journey, including an improved UX. New features, developed with content analysis, include automatic content detection, specific web page markup, and <a class=\"wl-entity-page-link\" title=\"GKG\" href=\"https:\/\/wordlift.io\/blog\/en\/entity\/google-knowledge-graph\/\" data-id=\"http:\/\/data.wordlift.io\/wl0216\/entity\/google_knowledge_graph;http:\/\/rdf.freebase.com\/ns\/m.0jwvf5b;http:\/\/dbpedia.org\/resource\/Knowledge_Graph;http:\/\/data.qa.wordlift.io\/wl0216\/entity\/google_knowledge_graph;http:\/\/data.wordlift.io\/wl0216\/entity\/google_knowledge_graph;http:\/\/data.qa.wordlift.io\/wl0216\/entity\/google_knowledge_graph\" >knowledge graph<\/a> curation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The main benefit of this development is to exploit <a class=\"wl-entity-page-link\" title=\"long-tail\" href=\"https:\/\/wordlift.io\/blog\/en\/entity\/long-tail\/\" >long tail<\/a> queries to be featured as speakable (voice) tagging for search helpers. <strong>The new backend lets users create dedicated landing pages and applications with direct queries in GraphQL.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The new platform also provides users with useful information about data shared in the Knowledge Graph, including traffic stats, Structured Data reports.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The development of NG involves features to bring WordLift\u2019s technology to any CMS, the new on-boarding WebApp is part of that.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Envisioning a brand new customer journey, built to help publishers get their SEO done with a few easy steps, the new on-boarding web app guides the setup for users not running their websites on WordPress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The workshop held various demos for applications developed by partners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>WordLift showcased a demo for <strong>semantic search<\/strong> built using <a href=\"https:\/\/jina.ai\/\"><strong>Jina AI<\/strong><\/a> (an open-source <em>AI-powered search framework<\/em>), that uses <a class=\"wl-entity-page-link\"  href=\"https:\/\/wordlift.io\/blog\/en\/entity\/deep-learning\/\" data-id=\"http:\/\/data.wordlift.io\/wl0216\/entity\/deep_learning;http:\/\/dbpedia.org\/resource\/Deep_learning;http:\/\/rdf.freebase.com\/ns\/m.0h1fn8h\" >deep learning<\/a> models while providing relevant results when queried.<br>With semantic search one can immediately understand the intent behind customers and provide significantly improved search results that can drive deeper customer engagement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This feature would have a major impact on <a class=\"wl-entity-page-link\" title=\"E-commerce\" href=\"https:\/\/wordlift.io\/blog\/en\/entity\/e-commerce\/\" data-id=\"http:\/\/data.wordlift.io\/wl0216\/entity\/e-commerce;http:\/\/www.wikidata.org\/entity\/Q484847;https:\/\/dbpedia.org\/page\/E-commerce;http:\/\/data.wordlift.io\/wl0216\/entity\/e-commerce\" of the new platform<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The backend of the platform is being developed by RedLink, on state-of-the-art technologies.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The services are issued within a cloud microservice architecture which makes the platform scalable, and the data that today are published with WordLift is hosted on Microsoft Azure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It will provide specific services and endpoints for the text analysis (<a class=\"wl-entity-page-link\" title=\"Named-entity recognition\" href=\"https:\/\/wordlift.io\/blog\/en\/entity\/named-entity-recognition\/\" data-id=\"http:\/\/data.wordlift.io\/wl0216\/entity\/named-entity_recognition;http:\/\/rdf.freebase.com\/ns\/m.0658pt;http:\/\/yago-knowledge.org\/resource\/Named-entity_recognition;http:\/\/dbpedia.org\/resource\/Named-entity_recognition\" >Named Entity Recognition<\/a> and Linking) data management (public and private <a class=\"wl-entity-page-link\" title=\"content\" href=\"https:\/\/wordlift.io\/blog\/en\/entity\/knowledge-graph\/\" data-id=\"http:\/\/data.wordlift.io\/wl0216\/entity\/knowledge_graph;https:\/\/www.wikidata.org\/wiki\/Q33002955\" >knowledge graphs<\/a> and schema, data publication), search (full text indexing) and conversation (natural language understanding, question answering, voice conversation) for its users.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/wordlift.io\/ng\/graphql-linked-data\/\">GraphQL<\/a> was selected to facilitate access to data in the Knowledge Graph by developers.
