In short, structured data enable publishers and content creators to have wider control over their content and how they want Google to repurpose it in its search results (read <a href=\"https:\/\/wordlift.io\/blog\/en\/structured-data-opt-in-google-rich-snippets\/\">structured data as an opt-in mechanism for rich results<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>Thus, schema.org and structured data become a <strong>wider mechanism than what we see from rich results<\/strong>. They enable&nbsp;publishers of content to have:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>wider visibility for their brand<\/li>\n<li>more control over their content.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>The rise of synthetic queries<\/h3>\n<p>Another key element is given by the fact that <strong>Google uses structured data to generate queries<\/strong> in its&nbsp;Knowledge Graph.
