Dear Data – The Project<\/span><\/h3>\n

Dear Data started as an analog data-driven illustration project by two information designers Giorgia Lupi<\/a> and Stefanie Posavec<\/a>.<\/p>\n

They have\u00a0collected and hand drawn their own personal\u00a0data: an emotional representation of their\u00a0quantified selves\u00a0over a year long period. They sent it to each other in the form of postcards\u00a0that eventually became a book.<\/p>\n

Dear Data – The Book<\/h3>\n

After all the correspondence Giorgia and Stefanie became friends and they published a\u00a0300-page long, large-format flexibound book. The world famous Bulgarian\u00a0blogger Maria Popova<\/a><\/strong><\/span>\u00a0wrote in her touching foreword\u00a0of the book:<\/p>\n

Dear Data and WordLift<\/h3>\n

Much like Dear Data, WordLift adds its value to the “analog”\u00a0stories that each one of us\u00a0writes\u00a0in the\u00a0digital world. As we write WordLift translates relevant concepts (“entities”) into data structures that machine understand.<\/p>\n

The semantic editor connects each concept with the web of data and creates a data graph. The visualization below is called “chord” and surfaces the relationships of the data graph.<\/p>\n

The visualization is made by WordLift and uses the famous\u00a0D3<\/em>\u00a0– JavaScript<\/em> library.<\/span><\/p>\n\n
