The term &#8220;<strong>Uniform Resource Locator<\/strong><\/span>&#8221; (URL) refers to the subset of URIs that, in addition to identifying a resource, provide a means of locating the resource by describing its primary access mechanism (e.g., its network &#8220;location&#8221;).
